ABOUT THE INTERNATIONAL CULINARY CHALLENGE 2026
The Culinary Challenge is one of the highly anticipated events at Hotel Asia. Chefs and Service personnel from both – the best of the Maldivian Resorts and from other participating nations vie for top honors at the competition.
The Culinary Challenge itself adds a unique and diverse facet to the event, harnessing the best of talent in the region in one common place. The Panel of Judges will comprise of internationally recognised culinary professionals.
The Awards and Certificates that are given in recognition of the skill and quality of the chefs are regarded as world class endorsements for the participants internationally.

As we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Hotel Asia Exhibition & International Culinary Challenge, I am proud to reflect on the remarkable journey of this prestigious event. From just 40 competitors in 2002 to over 700 entries from more than 70 resorts in 2026, this milestone is a testament to the continued trust and support of our partners, sponsors, exhibitors, judges, and competitors.
The success of this event is built on strong collaboration, professional organization, and our shared commitment to raising the standards of the hospitality and culinary industry in the Maldives.
